HISTORY

 

Robot Games Zero Latitud ° ® was born in 2014 as the first international robotic tournament in Ecuador, born to break the paradigms of the traditional tournaments that were at that time, and in a short time it has become the most important robotics competition region of. The event was founded by the Ecuadorian Association of Robotics and Automation (AERA) preceded by Heinerth Romero president of the same. Romero who after having participated in several countries of the world, saw the need to create a tournament open to anyone and with internationally approved regulations. In order for Ecuadorian competitors to travel to test their level in other countries, RGZL ° awards its winners international certifications to the best robotic tournaments in the world.

 

The first Organizing Committee was made up of university students from the capital, who with the support of the Differential Project and the Contemporary Art Center of Quito, launched on May 23 the first edition of the tournament.

 

RGZL ° annually calls an average of 500 competitors from all over the world, who year after year in the month of May come together in the City of Quito, to test their knowledge, where innovation projects, robotic prototypes and flying, face each other providing a show to all attendees.

 

MISSION

 

To foster creativity and technological innovation in the country, providing students, professionals, companies and the general public with a space to share knowledge, through talks, conferences and a series of skills of several days where they will reward the best projects with certifications countries.

 

VISION

 

To become the best robotics tournament at regional, national and international level, bringing the best exhibitors and participants from sister countries to compete and share their knowledge with national competitors, and demonstrate to the general public that robotics tournaments in their various categories can be considered as a sport.
